#BucketList Moments: A Helicopter Ride Over Durban

Welcome to Durban, South Africa. The third-largest city of the territory. The busiest port location in S.A. The largest city in the province of ZwaZulu-Natal. Durban is home of the Golden Mile, the Moses Mabhida Stadium, and the Inanda Dam. Though the city boasts of plentiful beaches and beautiful landscapes, nothing could have prepared us for the aerial view that the beautiful city has to offer.

While we were in Durban, we had the chance fly in one of King Shaka Aviation’s helicopters on an hour long ride (the typical 90 minutes had to be cut short due to an oncoming thunderstorm) over the coastline, the city center and the breathtaking valleys surrounding Inanda dam.

Words can only do so much to describe the sheer beauty of Durban’s skyline and coast, so we won’t waste our efforts here.  Instead, take a peek into the ride through our camera lenses.
